[The Origins of the Buildings’Names]
Xinmin Teaching Building

[The Origin]
The Minister’s Admonition to The Nobility Kang,a passage in the Book of History (Shang Shu) written in the time of Xizhou, recorded that it was a social responsibility to help the survivals from wars to settle down and integrate into the new society, and thus enable them to be part of the new society. Even nowadays, it is essential for us to cultivate a new generation with innovative spirit. Xinmin, the name of the building, or some similar terms were also found in the quotation of Kong Chuan (the forty-sixth grandson of the Confucius) or in the Collections of Questions, Explanations and Solutions to Da Xue (a key book of the intelligent thoughts of the Confucians) by Wang Shouren (Ming Dynasty), by which to emphasize the importance of education in both morality and knowledge.
Tao Zengyou said with certainty in his Argumentation of The Power of Literature and the Relationships that no country can be established or no people can become part of the civilization without literature. In this way, Xinmin got the definition of educating people and developing their intelligence.
In the Book of Rites, we were already told that education is to advocate and develop benevolent rule constitute and traditional Chinese moral culture. So the reasons why “Xinmin” is used as the name of Xinmin Middle School are: 1) to memorize the victory of the New-democratic Revolution as well as the foundation of the People’s Republic of China and cherish our happy life; 2) to aim at cultivating a new generation with the spirit of innovation. In short, it came from Sinology, and is now a determination of educating the students and enlighten their wisdom so that they can learn and promote the Chinese ancient civilization, and to be creative persons with morality and knowledge.

Following up the stairs, you will see the QiZhi Lobby- the beginning of grow-up and the symbol of external and internal cultivation. “Please learn to be a person who is educated and loves learning.” One more stair, you will meet the HongYi Lobby. Zengzi said “An educated gentleman cannot but be resolute and broad-minded, for he has taken up a heavy responsibility and a long course.” The meaning for grow-up is to take responsibility. “Please be a person who is responsible and good at learning.” Gazing the ZhuMeng Lobby in Grade Night when you are standing, you will learn a kind of wisdom that knowledge makes one’s eyes brighter , and dreams make one’s heart kinder. “The road ahead will be long and our climb will be steep.” The importance of grow-up is to learn to learn, own your talents and have a noble ideal. “Be a person who has dreams, and learns with efficiency.” By its deep cultural deposits and abundant humanistic flatus, Nanning Xinming Middle School educates generation by generation who neither shows arrogance nor sings one's own praises, who is fond of learning, who is kind and talented with great dreams.
Books pool and Green Wall

[The Origin]
Books pool is part of Reading corner in Xinmin Middle School. It gets its name according to the  famous poem the half acre of pool is like a mirror, which is from Zhuxi ( lived in the Southern Song Dynasty). The little pool is as clean as the mirror, because it has its flash water source. So the pool will never dry up or be dirty. The pool will be deep and clean. Such as Read wide, and you will wisely write. The words are so precious that makes readers think deeper
Shenshen Wall

[Sources of the Name]

Selected from To Stimulate the Ancient Poetry written by Nalan Xingde in Qing Dynasty, a poem said, “In Nanshan, there was a wild land as no one takes care of it. Beans were planted to bring the vitality here this year and the plant flourishes particularly well in the field. ”In Jin Dialect of Mandarin, it said, “Numerous soldiers go on an expedition overwhelming the enemy’s attack.”In From the Sino - Japanese War of 1894 to the Memory of the Revolution of 1911, Wu Yuzhang wrote that after the failure of the Reform Movement of 1898, these students found no way out for a long time. Until the abolition of imperial examinations, they came to Japan in large numbers as the study tour became a trend. Therefore “Shenshen” means numerous and lush. If that exhausted vines are just like devoted teachers, that evergreen ivy is just like vibrant and valorous students. Therefore, we call it as "Shen Xin wall."

[Wall Appearance]
Behind the solemn Xinmin building, stands a lush wall full of evergreen creepers. The eyeful green is the persistence of life. With the gift of the dawn, those buds strive to grow, climb up the wall and move toward the sky to chase their dreams. However, beneath the brilliance of life are those vines that feed the buds with rich nutrients and lead them into the right directions of growing.  Undoubtedly, the vines would turn withered and yellow when the leaves are luxuriant and green. We hope that when the students stop to enjoy the green, they would not lose the goals they set at first, and would not forget the loving-kindness of their teachers.
